Alcohol Panic Attack Archives

to still be feeling the aftereffects and having the same paranoid thoughts….I’ve given up everything, caffeine alcohol, etc…….

I’m trying to figure out what just caused me to hyperventilate (and still am hyperventilating somewhat):

1. Planning to return to the place (school computer lab) where I last had a panic attack (which was caused when I witnessed someone who had fainted)
2. The fact that I might be an alcoholic, but only drink on weekend nights, and just refused to drink (because I have work to do), and perhaps could be alcohol withdrawal
3. The fact that I started on Wellbutrin a few weeks ago, which can cause anxiety
4. Being very jet-lagged

Do any of these sound like they could be the cause? Which seems more likely? Thanks for any input!

In the past 4 years I have had 3 panic attacks and 2 of them were while I have had alcohol in my system. I am wondering if anyone knows if the alcohol is part of the reason it has happened or if the alcohol has no effect at all? Just curious.

i had nausea, racinh heart rate, trembling and shaking, and INTENSE fears all in about 10 minutes.I just don’t know what caused all of this.I drink alcohol quite a bit and tonight i didn’t drink so i’m thinking it might be withdrawal. But also i was concerned of having a stomach illness, and then when i got online to read about various disorders i just went into full-mode paranoia and the rest started from their.I’m fine now,but it was an intensely scarey experience. This is the second time i’ve had a panic attack. The first i had was from years ago.My dad had to reassure me that i was just that SCARED of my thoughts and delusions. And then for some inexplicable reason 5 minutes later after watching a bit of tv and pacing around a bit.I went completely back to normal…

Difference between panic attack and atrial fibrillation?

What is the difference? The other day, in a low-stress situation where I was on the computer doing database entries, I noticed the following symptoms: palpitations, sweats, dizziness, shortness of breath, nausea, tingling in the right arm to the fingers, and pressure on the chest. I did go to the ER and had an echo done (heart rate slightly accelerated but otherwise normal echo), a chest Xray (normal) and was hooked up to a heart monitor for a few hours. My average pulse was in the mid to high 90s.

I’m a relatively healthy person, I don’t consume caffeine, I’m careful about my alcohol intake, I eat fruits and veggies and other healthy stuff, and exercise daily.

Please take the time to read and help me out. Thank you

I’m 23, 5’10, 220lbs.

I woke up really early this morning (6:30am) and i usually don’t get up that early, but then i started feeling bad and I couldn’t really remember or focus on what i was thinking at the time (that caused me to feel bad), but i was probably dwelling on whatever i was thinking. I got really thursty and drank some water.

I started to freak out and then had a panic attack, this was pretty hard core. My neck and my jaw felt really tight (like a tence feeling, It was like, i kept my jaw tenced and bit down) but during this period my head felt like it was going to expload and then i started having the shakes, like chevering. I was confused on how to explain what was happening to me towards my g’f and my mother, i just wanted to be kept calm and wanted this feeling to stop. I felt scared and thought i was going to die or something.

Panic attack after drinking?

Last night I drank a Malibu cocconut and some licquor. I had done the same thing the day before, though I felt fine. Yesterday I started getting tipsy, very sleepy and at one point I was getting a panic attack: I felt that sickening cold spreading through my body and my face (like all the blood was leaving my face), I couldn’t stand properly, I was feeling out of control.

I went to the bathroom a couple times because I felt sick (probably just the anxiety acting up) but nothing came out. I nearly fell asleep there and when I opened my eyes again I felt so out of it, like I didn’t know where I was or who I was or something. It really freaked me out. Especially because I hadn’t had a panic attack in months!

Before I start, I know some seizures don’t always make you fall to the ground and sometimes you might not even really know its A seizure. So Thats exactly why im asking this question.

Almost once every day, Out of no where I get really nervous and my hands start to tingle (Pins and needles) and my mouth gets very dry. I shake and my hands get ICE cold. When this happens I can’t sit still and I keep shaking my hands to try to get that numbness feeling away. Sometimes my heart races and sometimes it dosn’t. Now though, I don’t think it is anxiety because im calm when it happens and my heart really dont pound as long as I stay calm. I also feel confused and detached when these ‘Attacks’ happen.

I heard these are some symptoms of A seizure and also A Panic Attack. How do you really know the difference?

This is a bit long so please stick with me, thanks.

I got sober last week after an horrific withdrawal process which saw me get severe shakes and sweats, insomnia, agitation, hallucinations and most of all panic attacks. This withdrawal passed and so did all the symptoms, except the panic attacks.

It’s a week now since I last drank and I spend every day hysterical with anxiety and panic attacks. I can’t eat properly because I’m always feeling sick to the stomach and I can’t sleep that much because I’m so anxious in the first place.
