What if the withdrawal occurs in the home with no access to alcohol or medical treatment?

beer
All joking aside, you can take small doses of booze. Doctors use Ativan and/or Clonidine. Depending on your level of drinking, abrupt cessation of alcohol can cause a fatal withdrawal. I would contact a physician.
rehab. I believe it is designed to help you through the process physically and emotionally. They treat you sometimes with medication and through therapy. I also think it would help to be around people going through the same things you are. I even think you can go for thirty days now. Best wishes.
With Librium to prevent convulsions from withdrawal as well as jitters.
Well, it is said that drinking more alcohol can cure a hangover, however, I find that Cranberry juice will help digest all the alcohol still settling in your stomach
Make sure you eat simple and complex carbs-keep your blood sugar stable caus post-alchohol, it can drop really low. Otherwise, beta-blockers can help with tremour and shakes, also palpitations. Anxiolytics are what really help though. Get to a Dr. if you can soon.
If you are alcohol dependent your withdrawal should be medically supervised, because it CAN kill you (people think heroin withdrawal is bad, but it won’t kill you while alcohol withdrawal can). With a doctor’s supervision, medications can be used.
In any case, I would advise that you get some help. It’s easy to stop drinking, the hard part is learning to live a life without alcohol. If you have traumatic experiences in your past, make sure to get therapy for that in addition to “regular” substance abuse counseling.
None,,, they have to got thur it themselves or they will never ger sober!! take it from me i know!!!
That’s a tough one. A person may be able to ride through a mild to moderate withdrawal by getting plenty of fluids, taking high doses of B-complex vitamins and supplements of essential minerals such as magnesium. Valerian root is believed to work similar to benzodiazepines (the class of prescription drugs that are the mainstay treatment of alcohol withdrawal) so that could possibly help. Untreated, severe alcohol withdrawal puts a person at a high risk of potentially life-threatening symptoms such as seizures, severe autonomic hyperactivity and withdrawal delirium. It’s very difficult to predict how serious the withdrawal syndrome will be in a particular person so people that are physical addicted should also see their doctor before attempting to quit.
Without any medical intervention you’re S.O.L. This person should not be trying to kick the habit without any intervention anyway.
