Should I be worried about alcohol withdrawal?
I recently decided to take alcohol out of my diet completely. I used to drink a pint of beer or so a night after work. I am on day 2 and feel pretty good. I am just apprehensive of if I am fooling myself. Is it possible I could still experience symptoms or DTs? Thanks!!

Usual symptoms are higher blood pressure (temporarily), perceived stress, headache and sometimes nausea.
Keep up the good work
Alcohol, in moderation, can be good for the heart (such as red wine).
No.
Congratulations.
You should be fine and will have more energy, it is a depressant so, by giving it up you should be more perky, if any thing.
I have seen a man with alcohol withdrawal before. He had a seizure because he tried to stop cold turkey.
If you are feeling lightheaded, forgetting things, or having other problems with your life, you should taper your consumption of alcohol gradually rather than quitting cold turkey. HOWEVER, if you feel like you are okay, do not stop what you are doing.
Do not underestimate the seriousness of alcohol withdrawal. With the amount that you used to drink, I really don’t think you will have a problem, but pay attention to your symptoms. If you begin to have any of these problems in an amount that is worrisome or affects your life, do something about it. There are medications that can take away your alcohol withdrawal symptoms and allow you to recover differently currently available from your doctor if need be.
Good luck! Keep going strong!
As you were drinking in moderation it is unlikely that you will suffer any real withdrawal symptoms at all.
To get the DTs you need to be a heavy drinker so you won’t have that problem.
