Joan Mathews Larson, vitamin B3 deficiency cause anxiety, depression, fatigue
Did something really stupid last night cause I was stressed out, any advice?
I have depression and anxiety that’s been getting worse, and I started binge drinking on and off for several months. Last night I drank a lot and woke up with a bad hangover this morning. This is a bad situation cause I’m taking an antidepressant Pristiq and can’t have alcohol with it. I been under a lot of stress lately:
*I work at Six Flags, and about to be laid off for the winter. Looking for another job in a sh*tty economy has caused me a lot of stress. I’m considering a waitress; food service, but those jobs are stressful with crappy pay.
Which of these sound like the most likely cause of the semi-panic attack I just experienced?
I’m trying to figure out what just caused me to hyperventilate (and still am hyperventilating somewhat):
1. Planning to return to the place (school computer lab) where I last had a panic attack (which was caused when I witnessed someone who had fainted)
2. The fact that I might be an alcoholic, but only drink on weekend nights, and just refused to drink (because I have work to do), and perhaps could be alcohol withdrawal
3. The fact that I started on Wellbutrin a few weeks ago, which can cause anxiety
4. Being very jet-lagged
Do any of these sound like they could be the cause? Which seems more likely? Thanks for any input!
can alcohol withdraw cause anxiety and panic attacks? if yes for how long?
are their any diseases or physical problems with the brain that could cause this?
a 25 year old male that personality has been changing over the last 6 months…becoming more and more withdrawn, having a hard time connecting ideas and sentences. erratic behavior..hard time controlling impulses..depression, alcohol abuse…detatchment from reality, wandering..lack of hygiene, changes in eating habits..weight loss..loss of self awareness. this person is going to see a specialist..i’m just wondering if there is something that could cause this that is not so much chemical but would show up on an MRI…once it started it’s been getting progressively worse and worse. thank you.
Can alcohol withdrawal generally cause hot flashes and/or fever without Delerium Tremens (DT’s)?
I’ve been feeling unbelievably hot and somewhat dissociated. I sure hope that what I’m going through is alcohol withdrawal, because if it isn’t then I don’t know what’s wrong with me.
can alcohol withdrawal cause loss of appetite?
i quit drinking a few days ago. i used to drink every day. not only do i feel shaky and depressed, but i haven’t felt like eating and my stomach has been hurting when i do eat. are these last two symptoms of alcohol withdrawal? has anyone else had this? if so, how long will it last?
Paxil and alcohol cause and effect?
So Ive been on different meds for the past eight years for Social Anxiety Disorder and depression. A few months ago I quit all my meds completely, as expected I got depressed and my anxiety flared up.
BUT I didnt have the urge to drink like I did when I was on the meds. I would want to drink nearly every night. I always figured it was something that I was just gonna have to deal with and conciously control. But when I went off the meds I didnt WANT to drink at all.
Now Im back on Paxil for the last couple of months and Im wanting to drink again. Is it because of the meds? Or was it a fluke?
Can alcohol cause anxiety when a person is drunk? Has it ever happpend to you?
I know alcohol is a sedative and normally relaxes people, but I also noticed that some people get more hyper when they’re drunk and it seems to have the opposite affect… so is it possible for someone who is already anxious for example to drink and make the anxiety worse and lead to an anxiety attack when drunk?
