Over the past few years I’ve been a heavy drinker. When I stop altogether for a few days I get bags and black patches under my eyes and altogether look like crap. If I start drinking again it all goes away and I look fine.
Is this what happens when the alcohol leaves your body? How long does this last? Is it normal?

He has no health insurance and we found out hes also taking a prescrip for an anti depressant that does not mix well with alcohol, we really need to not only detox him but get him in a program that will assist him in rebuilding his life.

I have heard of cranberry juice cleaning out your urine for drug abuse, does it have the same effect for alcohol? Also what about working out? Does the sweat it out method actually work?

Not a rehab center, I’m looking for a free detox program. The person its for has no insurance and no money, so are there any places that have a free detox program?

I’m wondering what the best, healthiest, and most comfotable way to detox from alcohol. I know people will say go to AA and I have/to but am not yet comfortable asking such a question in a meeting.

I have the money to go where ever I need to but that is part of my nest egg.I am not Bill Gates.Detox can be 1000′s dollars in the U.S.I will pay the money to live but I don’t want to spend too much.I live in Thailand now and there healthcare is cheap. If there is cheaper detox in the world let me know.
