I used to do it and it had no effect on me.

But it is not advisable because it can make your depression worse. Also I think some antidepressants with alcohol can cause you to lose consciousness.

Question by Michael: Should someone that is having an anxiety/panic attack drink alcohol?
A woman I work with had a panic attack the other day, and a coworker suggested she go home and get drunk to calm her nerves and help her go to sleep. This sounded beyond irresponsible and dangerous to me, but I was unable to find anything on the internet supporting my thoughts. Does anyone have any evidence or a good website link to either support or deny my coworkers claim?

im so down already because anxiety is taking over my life. i can’t hang out with my friends or anything bc im so scared im going to get there and get sick or have a panic attack. my girlfriend wants me to get out of the house and come havve some drinks with her. is this a bad idea??? or should i do it to try to get my mind of of being sick.
i dont plan on getting wasted. just having a glass of wine or 2. is that ok?

The AA frustrated me throughout my time there as i am atheist and refuse to believe in help from a divine source, I feel your the only one in charge in this life. The caffeine buzz is good when it’s good, I’m hyper, funny, make people laugh. work and think faster, but then, it comes around and bites me in the ass when I crash. This is obviously a case of substitution as I still didn’t resolve my lack of self confidence.. or my A.D.D that has troubled and embarrassed my social interaction through out my life. It puts a temporary solution on an inner problem, but I cant do this forever.

I’m well aware of the effects it has on your heart so I ask you not to inform me in your feedback, i’m just looking for an alternative. I tried medication for A.D.D but it never showed a positive effect.

I want to stop taking zoloft but fear the panic attacks will return. I was also wondering what the affects of all the alcohol and the zoloft. Thanks.

okay, every other weekend i drink alcohol with a few friends. i usually end up drinking a lot, and the entire next day my face will go numb and i will have severe panic attacks… it’s not your typical hangover and it will last all day. i have a history of having panic attacks, but i just wonder is this normal? does this ever happen to you?

I take 30mg of propranolol a day for panic attacks/anxiety and wanted to know weather alcohol can damage my body or be hazardous during taking this medication? Anyone already take it and had any side effects?
