I’m 22 and have basically been battling alcoholism since I turned 18. Whilst most of the time my drinking is tame, I have the occasional binge which honestly leaves me feeling so low I can’t see the point anymore. I know that quitting altogether is the fool-proof way to end this ridiculous cycle, but I seem to always end up ‘allowing’ myself a few beers, and gradually building up to the very same situation as before – one horrible binge which leaves me void of all hope, sat here as right now trying to figure out what to do about my reoccurring problem.
I have a brilliant husband who supports me through these pointless cycles, but I really feel like he deserves more. His family has been very affected by negative alcohol experiences and I don’t want to be another chapter in that miserable book.

There are so many people out in the world who are addicted to alcohol, and don’t know that there is a way of stopping, and that it will surely be in your best interest to do so.
How many people drink after work, until they go to bed, wake up with hangovers, go to work, and do the same thing all over again? Or, we have the weekend drinkers who refrain during the week, and get smashed on the weekends.

My alcohol consumption is minimal. I drink only on occassion and I keep my alcohol consumption to about 1-4 drinks. The next morning; however, I experience anxiety which perpetuates throughout the entire day. I do not suffer from anxiety and it is not a hangover because it will still occur even after just consuming 1 drink. I don’t know what I’m suffering from whether it could be an allergy to alcohol or whatever else. If you could please shed some light for me, that would be great. I looked up this already online and all the info I found only pertains to people who consume a massive quantity of alcohol or those who are alcoholics. I’m neither. I’m 22 yrs old and healthy so I have no idea what this could be. Thanks.

Anxiousness causes feelings of nervousness and actually real fear. An alcohol pushed hysteria disorder cause by the extortionate drinking of alcohol has outstanding features of generalized anxiety and fear, panic episodes, and in more significant cases may lead to fears, or obsessive-compulsive behaviour.
An alcohol prompted anxiousness disorder can last so long as you are drinking, and to worsen the issue further, nervousness may also be a result of withdrawal from alcohol. In the case of withdrawal inspired foreboding, studies have shown the anxiousness will last roughly a month after you stop consuming alcoholic drinks. Since each person has an individual nervous system, this time part will change.

Contrary to what you may have heard alcohol addiction is not an incurable brain disease. In fact, it is not a disease at all! But, for decades people have believed that alcohol addiction is a disease. Most psychologists, counselors, specialists and recovery groups today still believe that alcohol addiction is an incurable disease that must be managed for a lifetime, and that “there is no complete cure to stop drinking alcohol!” However, alcohol addiction is not a genetically predisposed disease that is handed down through faulty genes, and it is possible to stop drinking alcohol in 60 days!
The following theories represent the current bio-psychosocial disease model of alcohol addiction as presented by the National Institute on Drug Abuse as well as the U.S. medical community:

I never used to have this problem, (and please dont tell me to quit drinking or say anything rude) but now when I go out at night and drink more than 4 drinks, I get super bad panic and anxiety they next day……the whole next day. Then the day after that its back to normal. I am also on cymbalta if that makes a difference. Thanks in advance.
