Alcoholism has a profound influence on over achieving people. Executives, doctors, attorneys, actors and professional athletes all have a higher instance of alcoholism compared to the overall population. There are alcohol treatment centers all over California to help you with your addiction. Alcoholism doesn’t carry the social stigma it used to. California alcohol rehab referrals at www.drug-rehab.org will be able to find you the help you need. People recognize that people, no matter who you are, what your profession, or your station in life, are just human and are just as susceptible to alcoholism as anybody else. It’s nothing to be embarrassed about. However, it is something that needs to be addressed. It is easy to find a Washington, Utah or California alcohol treatment facility that will take care of you.

Just because you’re smart doesn’t mean you cannot be an alcoholic. Just because you are the executive at a major corporation doesn’t mean you can’t have a weakness. On the contrary, people who have higher than average intelligence tend to be alcoholics. The over-achiever in these people tends to lend towards that alcoholism. In the short term the loss of inhibitions initially may seem to actually help them in their quest for making a statement, for gaining the power they seek. It is this behavior though that turns the over-achiever into an alcoholic. In most cases, they turn into a secret alcoholic. It’s time you found an alcohol treatment facility that can help you break your addiction and realize you can do better without alcohol controlling your life.

My two convictions caused me great shame and depression. I think about them constantly. I quit drinking. Every time, I go to AA, the AA people say “You have two alcohol convictions and you don’t need us?”

Why do they like to make me depressed?

While you are running from the one place to other believing you will never ever again have enough time to do everything that needs to be done, there are many elderly people counting the minutes before lunch or dinner and bed time. go into treatment centers..sometimes for months. Yet people who are withdrawing from medications for depression and/or anxiety are expected to go on with their normal lives, working, functioning as if everything was normal. When people withdraw from anti-depressants, they experience horrible withdrawal symptoms, often for months. Shouldn’t they also be admitted to a treatment center or hospital until they can function normally?
If people admit themselves to the hospital without a referral from their doctor, they could be in jeopardy of losing their job. It should be routine to offer a patient a referral to a hospital or rehab center when withdrawing from anti-depressants.

You know how there is rehab for people dealing with drugs, alcohol, sex, and etc. is there a place for people with depression? were you stay there and work through it. i don’t know if you would call it rehab but like treatment center i guess.
