I am so sick of people living sleazy lifestyles and then acting like they’ve made a mistake, or that it’s not their fault. Tara Conner has had a rep as being a sleazy partier and Katie Rees puts her to shame with pix of several people kissing her crotch and chest, while she does the same to others. All the while doing drugs and alcohol. No wonder the girls gone wild guy is so rich. Both act pure on stage and then are sluts and druggies off.
Again, will people ever take responsibility for their actions? If you dont’ understand that let me know.
I agree with the role model thing. Where are the parents too; this behaviour just didnt’ happen.

Don’t doctors prescribe benzodiazapines or vicodine to ease the pain and suffering? And can I get some if I go to the hospital or free clinic?

In a fit of passion and anger, I wrote an “intervention” letter to a close family member telling them I am sick of their alcohol and drug use, and that it is the cause of all their problems. I also insinuated that they might be mentally ill, not in a mean way, in a serious way (I truly believe this). This family member has been in and out of prison and had problems all his life. The issue: the night after I mailed the letter, I talked to the family member, and we cleared the air and everything, and he is going to seek treatment, attend church etc. Now I am dreading the moment he gets the letter, because some of it comes off as mean. I have been dealing with his addiction for a long time, and I finally just had to open the floodgates, but now i’m concerned he will feel isolated, guilt-ridden, or depressed due to the letter. What can I do? Should I ask him not to open it? Or is it good for him to have in writing my condition for our relationship (I told him I would no longer accept him drinking around me, etc). I just don’t want to kick him when he’s down! He’s been suicidal in the recent past! Help!!!!

Im determined to stop drinking for good. Ive been a heavy drinker for 10 years and Im wondering how long until I can truly be detoxed. I drank an average of 5 vodka cocktails per day, everyday….sometimes more. I am drinking lots of water and trying to rest. ANy other advice is so greatly appreciated.

A 79 year-old friend of mine recently fell and broke her hip.
She had three times the legal blood-alcohol limit at the time
and was known to drink regularly.
After surgery to fix the broken hip, she went into DTs. The
physical shakes and tremors lasted about three days and
she was treated with Adivan and Trazadone. She was moved
to the physical therapy unit.
The problem is she can seem very clear-headed but every
now and then she thinks she’s at home instead of at the
hospital. Or she might say that someone was looking in the
window last night or making a lot of noise in the backyard.
The nurses say it could be the drugs and pain medicine that
are making her confused. Adivan was stopped two days ago
but she still gets Trazedone at night and possibly Percocet
as needed for pain.
Before all this you could tell if she had been drinking but she
never was confused about where she was or thought someone
was at the window, etc.
It has been 2 weeks since surgery.

Considering the damage that these women do to themselves, should we consider the damage they are doing to the baby.
We are banning or have banned smoking in some public places for health reasons, and drug abuse is illegal. We all know alcohol destroys our brain cells, and causes liver damage. So why should these women be allowed to poison their unborn babies because they are too selfish to stop. Dont they feel any guilt by hindering the development of their own offspring. When those babies are born they are addicts just like their mothers, only thing is they cant nip off for a quick fix like the mothers can. The babies have to go through cold turkey. How can some women not see that. My last point is really about the “I smoked through all my kids and they came out ok” theory. Heres a bit of news for you. They didnt , they were born addicted to nicotine thanks to you. I really hope this question kicks up a storm. It is meant to, for the sake of your babies.
What! so you can give your kid drugs and booze whilst in the womb, but you can’t once its born. Would you give your five year old half a bottle of whiskey, NO, so why do it to an unborn baby who is having a hard enough time trying to grow and develop. Also the rules and laws were made by the demand of the common people who could see the damage and not by someone who just wants to spoil your fun. These details are for the likes of reality who have not yet grown up and wont face reality.
Also you may wish to research the info on damaged Placenta’s. You know, the babies food bag. Check out the damage caused by smoking bit. Its not nice but at least you will know the truth.
What about freedom of choice for the unborn baby. It has no choice about being poisoned by its addict mother. If you smoke,drink or do drugs during pregnancy then you have no respect for the child you are carrying.What is the matter with you women. All the proof is there but you choose to ignore it for your own selfish addictive reasons.
Wake up 3_dollar, bad grammar wont help your unborn baby, but giving up toxic substances will.

I take zoloft for depression 50 mg.I take it every night but tonight i had pot and alcohol is it bad to still take my medication will it be a bad mixture?Please help urgently tonight theres no point in helping if its later then 5 hours from now which would be 3 am hawaii time 6 or 5 am west time and 8 or 9 am eastern time .

Alcoholism facts are highly understated and taken rather lightly, since most of us believe that social drinking is different from addiction. Beware but you won’t even know when the social becomes compulsive and then leads to addiction, the reason to know the alcoholism facts is to detect these early signs and take corrective action at the right time.
