I know it’s a horrible idea to mix alcohol and any medication, especially anti-anxiety meds and anti-depressants. I also know that everyone is different and people react differently. But I was just wondering if you know of any anti-anxiety meds/anti depressants that are not as horrible to mix with alcohol.

Okay right now i’m in the process of planning my reception for my wedding. And i wish to have an open bar but i have a problem. A lot of my family members are older and don’t believe in that kind of thing at a reception. But there are also people who would love the open bar and i want to have one.
I can afford to have one but because of my families religious views and upbringing should i just scratch the idea and not have one? And if i should have one how do i go about it without shaming my family?

Aside from having a case of depression, my sister’s addicted to alcohol as well. We want to get her treated. How will we be able to find a treatment center that’s adept at handling patients with dual diagnosis?

Ten years of working with different therapists has not helped. Antidepressants (luvox paxil lexapro) also not helped. Xanax with alcohol gives some temporary relief. Also spent $500.00 on tapes from Lucinda Bassett. Are there any institutions out there with any success stories?

You can take painkillers and the rest to fix the sore head and the rest, but is there anything that cures the anixious spacey feeling the next day, the feeling of uneasy and general grumpiness accompanied with mild depression, and if I’ve had a big night I end up panicky. So apart from not drinking is there a cure for a mental hangover?

My baby’s dad is an alcoholic and I know his liver is damage from his drinking, not only that I got an PFA on him for his abuse on me. I don’t want to hurt him with the baby I just want the courts to help me to order him to get treatments for his alcohol, depression and there is a chance that he is bi-polar. He is not ready to be a dad but he did watch my other son, while I worked on the weekends. The only bad side is he left my son home alone so he can go to the bar to drink and that is when the abuse started. I had to come home from work and did not make money because of his drinking. I want him to have supervised visitations because he will drink if he does not have his visitations supervise and with his drinking he will not be able to care for our baby. I going to file full sole custody of the baby next month so when the baby is born my attorney can schedule a hearing date for custody. Should I file child support in the baby’s dad’s condition. He has threaten suicide on me.
